About

I am a friendly and polite individual. I live and work in South Wales. I like to live quite spontaneously and enjoy life ‘as it comes’.  I would describe myself as a laid back person, but also very busy. Busy in that, I sing in a Male voice choir which travels all over the country, I work full-time and play drums/sing in a Worship band in my hometown and work on my photography.

My photography grew when, despite my busyness I felt I had a further creative streak that needed to be released. Having always enjoyed imagery and drawing I felt that my natural next step was to attempt to capture the wanderings and sights with a camera. From there I have grown incredibly fond of it and find I often ‘retreat’ from my day to day life, to behind the camera where I can relax and let free all the stresses and strains.

I have been shooting everything and anything as a hobbyist photographer for several years. Taking a keen interest in capturing my local surroundings and anything creative ‘in the moment’; I have built up a substantial portfolio and taken photos for several local events.

Recently following several courses studying lighting and important posing techniques. I have broadened my scope to cover shooting anything from portraiture and weddings to event and product photography.

When it comes to photography I like to make sure everything is meticulously planned and ensure that the images produced are to my clients liking. I live by the mantle that it needs to be 95% correct in camera leaving little post processing and therefore a shorter turn around time for the images to be produced to my client.

Landscape

The Guls are Cawing overhead…The breeze kisses your cheeks as a cosy warmth surrounding your face appears from the suns rays. The sound of the water colliding with the pebbles at your feet reaches your ears adding to the tranquility. The sails flap in the distance and the hulls rock as the waves methodically raise and bow toward you. Your senses swirl around you as they are overloaded from every direction…..

Imagine this scene, When capturing my landscape images, I try to stir all those senses, try to make you feel as though you are there in that moment, see every detail and imagine you are there and get a sense of what that moment looked and felt like.

Weddings

Elegant, Majestic and pristine. You step through the doorway, out onto the landing. The soft window light in front of you drapes your dress in the most perfect light. It glistens and twinkles with every step, casting prisms throughout the space in front of you. A smile grows on  your face as your eyes unite with your Mother, the Maid of Honour, her face beaming with pride and eyes filling with tears of joy. You turn to make your way down the staircase, the hustle and bustle below drones out to a tranquil silence….. Here goes…… the last step before your in view….
A Gasp fills the entrance hall, your eyes meet your fathers as a pocket of tears begin to fill his eyes and a giant smile adorns his face. He is perplexed, utterly stunned at how his little girl has become this beautiful woman he sees in front of him. Both of you raise your arms, hands open wide ready to embrace one another…he kisses your cheek and holds you close, for the last time as his little girl.

Events

The Solid angry droan sounds as the chug of an Ibanez ceases for a savage guitar led bridge section, machines are churning out plooms of thick misty smoke along the floor of the stage complimenting the eery atmosphere provided by the high pinched harmonic sound. Light shimmers inbetween the billows and whisps and laces the crowd in an ethereal light. The crisp guitar tones cut a slick line throught the almost silent crowd ,and then. The thunder builds as the sweat filled leather clad drummer kick starts his routine, looping around the kit with almost majestic accuracy. Vocals in the purest harmony bellow from the depths of the darkness as a singular beam of light flickers into life centre stage. The pinnacle of musical harmony all at one in that moment with stage presence to boot.
